Meet South Belt Houston Chapter Alumni Jakobi Barnett Nunn. He is the outstanding son of Associate Karen and Father Barnett Nunn. Jakobi is a 2018 graduate of the University of St. Thomas, here in Houston, TX, where he majored in general business and minored in entrepreneurship. While at UST, Jakobi was actively involved in a number of organizations on and off campus. He was the founder and President of “The Game Changers Society”, the first entrepreneurship club at UST, and was a member of the UST Case Team that competed in the 2017 National Black MBA Undergraduate Case Competition in Philadelphia, PA. He was also an active member of the undergraduate arms of the National Black MBA Association and National Sales Network (NSN), participating in the NSN Student Conferences and being a student ambassador.

After graduation, Jakobi accepted a role with Roche Diagnostics, a medical technology and solutions sales company, in their Accelerated Development Program (ADP). The ADP is a 2 year rotational program where participants go through three 8-month rotations in various parts of the organization. After completing the ADP in 2021, Jakobi accepted a new role with Roche and is now the Core Laboratory Account Executive that covers Northern New Jersey. In this role, Jakobi works with hospitals and health systems in New Jersey to implement diagnostic instruments and tests to help healthcare institutions meet the needs of their patient population.
Outside of work, Jakobi is actively involved in the New Jersey Chapters of The National Black MBA Association and the National Sales Network. Outside of these organizations, Jakobi also is a co-owner of a residential and commercial cleaning company based in Indianapolis called “My Indy Cleaning Services.”
